On “goods” optimization, Monica and Haibo system will help Nestle optimize digital management of goods. The Haibo system developed by Jingdong will provide comprehensive digital solutions for retail. On the “scene” domain, there will be more three-way marketing activities involving brands, platforms and retailers, and Nestle will be developed into the “Captain” brand in the two categories of coffee and adult milk powder on the Jingdong Home platform. In addition, based on the continued rapid sinking of the Jingdong Home platform, it will cover more counties, districts and cities, and reach more regional retail leaders. In June 2019, Nestle reached a brand cooperation with Jingdong Home. As of August this year, the number of supermarket and convenience stores selling Nestle goods on the JD Home platform has increased by 4.4 times compared to August 2018. The number of SKUs sold per store has also increased by 3.4 times compared to the same period in 2018. Collaborative efforts have led to a more than 30-fold net increase in Nestle’s sales volume on JD Home, making JD Home one of Nestle’s most important O2O partners. Based on the foundation of brand cooperation, the two companies will explore a data-driven instant retail business model to provide more accurate user services and sales growth for Nestle, and also help the Dada Group better develop and grow in the local instant retail market.
